Anomie1.com: What do you write and what crews are you in?
Amend: I write Amend, TDK, KOD, 2C & BSK.
Anomie1.com: When did you first start writing?
Amend: Shit, I was hitting up the turf since I was a kid. I started writing a name around 95’-96’.
Anomie1.com: You are an East Bay Local, have you lived there all your life?
Amend: Yeah, Yeah… Been here too fucking long if you ask me!
Anomie1.com: Do you like how the graffiti scene in the east bay is right now?
Amend: Is ‘oight I guess. I mean it could always be smashed harder and there could be more productions out there, nobody is really pushing themselves… All these guppy muthafuckas who think going around a few blocks from their house is bombin’ got shit twisted.
Anomie1.com: If you could give some advice to up and comers what would you give them?
Amend: Stick to yo’ self when you’re coming up. What I mean by that is don’t fuck with a lame ass crew or make up a lame ass crew. Oh, and don’t be an idiot and hooride your own hood where you rest yo’ fucking head at. That makes it easier for these pigs to pin point yo’ ass, and lastly fuck shit up, make people notice yo’ shit. Respect the rule of the game!
Anomie1.com: You do a lot of airbrushing, right?
Amend: Yeah, here and there. I gots to give it up to Done TDK, he’s the reason I airbrush. He put me up on game. I love ‘em for that! He had me on some shit like you gotta airbrush for 3 months straight, he shot some of his old airbrush shirts and some of dreams’ R.I.P and I tried copying them shits all day ‘til I got the hang of that shit. I made a lot of money from it.
Anomie1.com: Was it a natural thing to do because of its similarities to graffiti?
Amend: Not really, I thought it would be easy, but as I mentioned Done was schooling my ass and I’m glad he did. I don’t see anyone out here fucking wit’ that man at the airbrushing shit. Knowing how to do letters before I got into it made it easier once I learned the shit, but controlling and airbrush was a whole different thing.
Anomie1.com: Are you working on any projects right now?
Amend: I’m constantly plotting on shit. Got a few productions in mind and a few spots on the way-way I still want to smack. I started tattooing, basically watching Done and Big Merx so I’m focusing on that for the summer we’ll see how that turns out.
Anomie1.com: Who are some of the writers that you look up to the most?
Amend: Theres a few, Dondi R.I.P, Mike Dream R.I.P, Done TDK, Crayone, and I can’t forget ol’ timer King 157, I always liked Twist’s shit.
Anomie1.com: I have seen you up on quite a few trains, Do you like painting them a lot?
Amend: All bullshit aside at first I thought that shit was lame, ‘til I seen King 157 and Jase on damn near every line that fucking rode through the town. Once I met King and seen how many trains he had hit and where muthafuckas was sending flicks from, that did it, I’ve been painting quite a few trains with my boy Denz KD, and the ol’ timer King 157. If I paint ‘em on my own I tend to do simple quick shit, trains are ‘oight!

Amend: Hush Money Ent. (Spider) “I’m a beast way above reckless, ya niggas was a snack. Now I want my breakfast…”

Amend: Fuck ‘em both… they ain’t making me no money!
